POSITIONED FOR ADOPTION

Below the common commercial per-developer range.

Comparable commercial AI coding and review plans commonly publish prices from roughly $19 to $40 per developer each month. At a full 10-person team, this launch offer works out to $17.90 per active developer, while the onboarding fee funds hands-on policy and deployment work.

REVERSIBLE MODEL ROLES

Choose the author.
Choose the reviewer.

CLAUDE AUTHORS → OPENAI REVIEWS

Claude Code produces the change. OpenAI Codex receives the independent, read-only review packet and returns structured evidence.

OPENAI AUTHORS → CLAUDE REVIEWS

Codex or GPT produces the change. Claude receives the same independent review contract. Policy, exact-state binding and owner authority remain unchanged.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Clear commercial and technical boundaries.

Why price the team instead of each review?

The assurance system protects a shared engineering workflow. A predictable team price lets managers route consequential work by policy without worrying about a meter on every review.

What is an active developer?

A contributor who participates in the protected 2nd Engineer workflow during that month. The Team plan covers up to 10 active developers in one team.

Are model charges included?

No. Your organisation supplies and controls its own Anthropic and OpenAI access. Provider usage is billed directly to you, with no 2nd Engineer markup.

Can GPT or Codex write while Claude reviews?

Yes. The model roles are reversible: Claude can author while OpenAI Codex reviews, or Codex/GPT can author while Claude reviews. Both routes use the same policy, evidence and owner-control contract.

What happens as our team grows?

The Team plan covers up to 10 active developers. Additional teams, shared policy design and custom integrations are scoped with you so the rollout fits your engineering organisation.

Is this a hosted code-review service?

2nd Engineer is project-scoped and Windows-based. It wraps the author and reviewer with local policy, capture, attestation and owner controls; it is not positioned as a general hosted pull-request bot.
